Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and supporting infrastructure.
- Own production systems end to end, focusing on availability, performance, observability, and operational readiness.
- Build and maintain ETL and data-processing pipelines for production workloads.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, manage migrations, and support data lifecycle needs.
- Develop and operate Kafka-based event-driven processing integrated with backend services.
- Build and improve AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
- Improve deployment and operations through automation, monitoring, and collaboration with partner teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.
- Experience building and operating production services in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience designing distributed systems and debugging complex performance and reliability issues.
- Hands-on PostgreSQL experience covering data modeling, schema design, query performance, migrations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ClickHouse and Kafka, or similar analytical database and event-streaming technologies.
- Experience building ETL or data-processing pipelines and supporting analytics or Data Science workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
