Base Salary
$148k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain mission-critical data and analytics infrastructure at massive scale.
- Write technical design documents, create system infrastructure, and develop high-quality production code.
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems in a cloud computing environment.
- Operate large-scale systems in production and contribute to platform best practices and technology choices.
- Review engineers’ designs and code and provide technical mentorship across the engineering organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to support core Klaviyo functionality and data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in a software engineering discipline.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Experience provisioning infrastructure with Terraform or a similar infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Linux operating systems, OLTP and OLAP databases, and high-volume data processing and storage systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, continuous learning, adaptability, and persistence in solving difficult problems.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $148,000–$222,000 USD, with potential bonus, equity, sign-on payments, and health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits; compensation varies by location and qualifications.
- The role may require up to 10% travel for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events, coordinated in advance.
