Senior Staff Software Engineer - Agent Platform team
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term architecture and technical roadmap for the Agent Platform Detection domain.
- Lead the design and implementation of highly available cloud-native services processing billions of security events daily.
- Own backend systems for alert ingestion, triage, lifecycle management, investigation, and response workflows.
- Participate in architectural reviews and align engineering, product, and design stakeholders on technical direction.
- Build and evolve frontend components in the SentinelOne console using React and TypeScript.
- Champion observability, alert health reporting, performance optimization, diagnostics, runbooks, and incident-response processes.
- Mentor Staff and Senior engineers and promote technical excellence and accountability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Deep production experience with Golang, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Strong experience building and operating high-scale distributed services and platforms.
- Experience with API design, including gRPC and REST, service boundaries, multi-tenancy, and shared infrastructure.
- Practical frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
- Expertise with RDBMS technologies such as PostgreSQL, query optimization, Kafka, and Redis.
- Deep experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD patterns in hyper-scale SaaS environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Product Management, Directors, and VPs.
- Familiarity with security event processing, alerting systems, detection and response workflows, or endpoint and security products is a bonus.
