Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable risk applications using microservices, distributed caching, and stream processing.
- Architect and develop efficient on-demand pricing solutions.
- Deliver large-scale P&L and risk-impacting projects for trading and sales functions.
- Develop tooling and processes that improve team efficiency.
- Collaborate with trading, finance, risk management, and global technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and apply scalability- and stability-first design practices.
- Use DevOps practices and tooling for CI/CD, testing, and build processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Java experience with a strong understanding of JVM internals.
- Experience with the Spring stack and microservice development using Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and gRPC endpoints.
- Experience with messaging technologies, preferably Kafka.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- In-depth understanding of Python development stacks, including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, Hadoop, distributed caching, Big Data streaming technologies, RDBMS packages, and SQL.
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD tooling, and Agile environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced global team.
- Knowledge of derivatives pricing and capital markets is a plus.
- Knowledge of Scala, Angular, React, Excel integration, ELK, or TypeScript is a plus.

- Base salary range of $125,000-$156,000 CAD plus eligibility for discretionary variable compensation.
