Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex cloud-native microservices for SAP’s Order Management platform.
  • Build AI-native components, advanced RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and AI system evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.
  • Optimize application latency, throughput, scalability, resilience, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Write unit, integration, and contract tests and lead code reviews and test automation practices.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Monitor application health, performance, and reliability; troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Use, review, validate, and improve AI-generated code throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Define team-level standards for AI-assisted development and evaluate emerging AI tools based on cost and benefit.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent functional experience.
  • At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
  • Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Expert-level Java skills and experience with REST API design and asynchronous messaging such as Kafka.
  • Strong experience with distributed systems, scalable application design, resiliency, fault tolerance, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, agentic workflows, AI system evaluation frameworks, and model behavior validation.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native patterns, CI/CD tooling, observability, SRE principles, and incident management.
  • Experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Strong communication, technical leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and stakeholder presentation skills.
  • Preferred experience with Spring Boot, SAP BTP, Azure, OMS domain concepts, and open-source contributions.
  • Comfort working in an agile/scrum environment and across distributed, cross-functional teams.
