Base Salary

$152k - $174k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable applications on Linux servers across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Provide infrastructure guidance and operational support to development teams throughout product development.
  • Develop automation, improve CI/CD processes, and enhance developer efficiency and operational reliability.
  • Own reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptime KPIs and contribute to service level objective definition.
  • Lead requirements gathering, test plan development, quality reviews, peer reviews, and operational issue resolution.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Puppet, CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK.
  • Manage AWS container services including EKS and ECS.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and troubleshoot products across multiple environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Two years of software development experience.
  • Experience deploying and managing AWS resources including EC2, S3, and RDS.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle practices including requirements gathering, coding standards, peer code reviews, and source control management.
  • Experience using Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript for data management and JIRA for task tracking.
  • Experience supporting build, test, and deployment processes with continuous integration tools and working in Visual Studio environments.
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

  • Telecommuting is permitted up to 60%, but the employee must reside within normal commuting distance of the Redmond, Washington office; the role is not fully remote.
