Responsibilities
- Define a 1–3 year roadmap and vision for Shared Services.
- Architect and execute platformization projects that decouple functionality into reusable services.
- Write architectural design documents and estimate technical resources and project requirements.
- Develop well-tested features with appropriate test hooks to improve quality and engineering throughput.
- Serve as a recognized technical expert, solving complex engineering problems and reviewing technical designs.
- Drive project execution and delivery milestones while mentoring engineers and helping them grow.
- Present larger-scale internal demos and explain how completed features fit into the broader platform.
- Contribute to projects designed to delight users.
Requirements
- Experienced backend-focused software engineer with significant impact on organization-wide software delivery and operational excellence.
- Deep experience architecting complex systems across multiple roles throughout a career.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with highly agile and iterative development processes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and helping them develop their skills.
