Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Develop and enhance applications using Oracle Forms and related GUI technologies.
- Create and maintain data models, database schemas, indexes, and scripts.
- Monitor and optimize database performance using query tuning, indexing strategies, execution-plan analysis, and AWR/ASH reports.
- Develop data migration, validation, and integration scripts.
- Collaborate with business analysts, application developers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Follow coding standards, database security policies, and development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Oracle Database 19c or higher.
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms development, GUI/application development, SQL query optimization, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c/19c or higher, data modeling, database design, scripting, automation, index management, performance optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze AWR reports, ASH reports, Oracle performance metrics, execution plans, indexing strategies, and database tuning techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include Oracle Reports and Oracle Application Framework experience, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Git, regulated-industry experience, enterprise application support, database migration or modernization experience, and high-volume transactional systems experience.
- Oracle certifications are an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, stakeholder-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
