Responsibilities
- Lead quality engineering and test automation strategy across the testing pyramid.
- Build and maintain automated coverage for features and releases, including unit, service, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Develop and improve test tools, automation frameworks, and testable product code.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the CI/CD team.
- Troubleshoot testing and release issues, isolate defects, and verify bug fixes.
- Participate in design and code reviews to improve system modularity and testability.
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other quality engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience in software testing and automation.
- Demonstrable knowledge of at least one programming language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript, and strong scripting skills.
- Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Expertise solving ambiguous problems and developing integrations across multiple teams with significant impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
