Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy software using continuous integration and automated testing.
- Investigate software and system defects and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor running processes to ensure reliable software operation.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to plan the engineering backlog and resolve impediments.
- Demonstrate products to stakeholders and help them use the products effectively.
- Deliver work on time while maintaining quality.
- Participate in a 24x7x365 support rotation using a client-centric approach to issue resolution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development and deployment experience.
- At least 6+ years of strong backend programming experience in Java.
- Experience building Big Data pipelines with Flink and Kafka in AWS and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Strong experience building and using REST APIs, including Spring Boot and OpenAPI.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Aurora and PostgreSQL and columnar storage such as Redshift.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools including Git and GitLab.
- Experience operating production services in cloud environments, especially AWS services including EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, and RDS.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with agile methods, DevOps, and related tools.
- Experience with the full production software lifecycle, customer collaboration, development planning, technology selection, software development, and production deployment.
