Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise client technical teams throughout discovery, migration, deployment, go-live, and operational stabilization.
- Write production code, build prototype integrations, create manifests, and troubleshoot live networking, storage, GPU, and platform issues.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain VKS clusters across VMware Cloud Foundation and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Lead migrations from bare metal, legacy platforms, and data stacks to VKS or cloud-native Kubernetes targets.
- Deploy, tune, and scale AI inferencing, RAG, vector search, and model-serving workloads using virtualized GPU resources.
- Containerize, refactor, and migrate stateful engines, message brokers, distributed caches, and analytics platforms onto Kubernetes.
- Architect cloud-native deployments for data processing, orchestration, and distributed AI frameworks.
- Guide customers operating VKS alongside OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS, and Rancher distributions.
- Translate field-tested solutions and customer pain points into product requirements and prioritized platform features for core engineering teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Experience working within or closely alongside core software or R&D engineering organizations rather than pure IT or professional services.
- Proven experience managing long-term, complex engineering engagements with customer technical leadership and developers.
- Hands-on experience with GPU-accelerated Kubernetes nodes, model-serving runtimes, vector databases, and distributed AI orchestration.
- Experience containerizing and operating high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, stateful workloads, messaging platforms, and analytics engines.
- Deep knowledge of deploying, tuning, and scaling containerized data services, AI engines, and orchestrators.
- Technical depth across competing enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
- Advanced skills in Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, Cluster API, and GitOps tools.
