Responsibilities
- Own and build backend system components for customer-facing spending and account insights features.
- Shape the roadmap and deliver large projects end-to-end from technical design through production.
- Drive incident response and own short- and long-term mitigation plans.
- Write high-quality tests and documentation, review code, and design scalable systems.
- Mentor, onboard, and coach engineers while contributing to wider engineering forums.
Requirements
- Experience owning large, impactful backend projects end-to-end, including technical design and production delivery.
- Strong backend fundamentals and proficiency in a primary language, particularly Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of distributed-systems concepts such as asynchronous communication and event streaming.
- Experience writing well-tested, high-quality code and designing systems for long-term scalability.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, stream processing, or high-throughput low-latency services.
