Responsibilities
- Lead execution and delivery of large-scale software efforts and serve as the development lead for medium and large projects.
- Provide architectural guidance, conduct design and code reviews, and ensure engineering principles and best practices are followed.
- Develop, promote, and communicate design patterns for Next Gen Architecture and Plan of Record projects.
- Guide teams on system efficiency, performance, scalability, resource usage, and long-term technology strategies.
- Mentor and coach software development engineers and influence engineering teams across the organization.
- Assess technical and business risks, communicate issues and dependencies, remove blockers, and drive timely decisions.
- Partner with technical program managers, engineering managers, business stakeholders, and external customers when required.
- Drive adoption metrics for design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, and design patterns.
- Apply software development lifecycle, clean-code, testing, compliance, and continuous-improvement practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant application development experience or senior-level enterprise architecture experience is required.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with strong Java expertise and experience leading or architecting enterprise systems.
- Advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, OAuth, Oracle Database, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Gradle, Maven, Harness, Linux/Unix, Apache Kafka, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in CI/CD environments.
- Ability to lead resources, serve as a functional subject matter expert, communicate architectural decisions, and influence teams across the organization.
- Thorough knowledge of clean-code practices and test-driven development.
