Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend and backend features using React and Node.js.
- Develop donation checkouts, embeddable widgets, donor and partner portals, and related core products.
- Architect components capable of supporting millions of monthly transactions.
- Write clean, documented, thoroughly testable code and participate in technical design discussions.
- Mentor peers through code reviews and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to clarify requirements and shape the roadmap.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
- Use AI meaningfully in daily work and identify opportunities for AI to improve engineering workflows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
- Deep understanding of modern JavaScript, including the event loop, closures, promises, and prototypes.
- Expert-level proficiency with React and its ecosystem.
- Strong backend expertise with Node.js; Koa or NestJS experience is highly preferred.
- Experience configuring Webpack and performing performance optimization and profiling.
- Strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and willingness to use AI meaningfully in professional work.
