Responsibilities
- Design and develop Tower Loan’s next-generation loan origination and servicing platform using C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, Blazor or React, and SQL Server.
- Apply AI-first development practices across requirements analysis, architecture, code generation, testing, refactoring, documentation, and delivery.
- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex features and translate business requirements into reliable architecture and implementation plans.
- Build modular services and event-driven, asynchronous integrations using Kafka or comparable messaging technologies.
- Engineer applications for concurrency, performance, resilience, scalability, and operational reliability across hundreds of locations.
- Analyze legacy .NET Framework applications and support data migration, integrations, and phased platform transition activities.
- Build accessible user interfaces and workflows for loan origination, account servicing, payment processing, and related operations.
- Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, views, queries, indexes, transactions, and data models.
- Develop AI-enabled business applications including intelligent assistants, document processing, knowledge retrieval, and automated workflows.
- Integrate payment processors, document management and eSignature platforms, messaging services, analytics tools, and other internal and third-party systems.
- Review and validate AI-generated code and outputs for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Implement AI access controls, sensitive-data protections, output validation, evaluation, monitoring, and human review controls.
- Create automated tests, collaborate with QA, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering standards and architecture.
- Troubleshoot distributed-system issues using logging, metrics, and tracing, and contribute to deployment automation, documentation, and API specifications.
- Implement security and privacy controls consistent with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Five or more years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on C# and modern .NET experience.
- Advanced proficiency with C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, API development, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and performance optimization.
- Strong full-stack development skills with Blazor or React and HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong SQL Server development, relational data modeling, indexing, query optimization, troubleshooting, and transaction-management skills.
- Experience owning the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex enterprise applications.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven integrations, distributed systems, fault tolerance, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
- Experience developing user interfaces with Blazor or React and integrating third-party APIs and reusable software components.
- Experience using AI tools in the software development lifecycle and integrating AI or large language model services into applications.
- Understanding of prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and limitations of AI-generated output.
- Experience with automated testing, source control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, debugging, and technical tradeoff evaluation.
- Ability to work independently, lead technical efforts, mentor teammates, and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes major application rewrites, legacy .NET Framework migration, large multi-location applications, Kafka, Redis, containerization, cloud or private data center deployments, and production AI evaluation and safeguards.
- Experience in financial services, lending, loan origination, loan servicing, payment processing, or other regulated systems is preferred; relevant software development, AI, or cloud certifications are also preferred.
