Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance high-quality full-stack software supporting Financial Crime Screening.
- Build resilient Java backend services, REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and dynamic frontend applications.
- Implement database connectivity, data modeling, server configuration, automation, unit testing, and performance optimization.
- Apply secure coding practices and robust design patterns to deliver reliable, scalable, maintainable, and regulatory-compliant software.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, domain SMEs, DevOps, QA, product managers, designers, engineers, and global delivery teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical communities, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, governance, and control strengthening.
- Lead or guide complex assignments and contribute to objectives, coaching, policy development, and operational effectiveness where applicable.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on full-stack engineering experience across frontend and backend technologies.
- Experience with Java, REST APIs, microservices, server integrations, and database connectivity.
- Experience building data-driven applications with modern frameworks and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with DevOps tooling, pipelines, test-first practices, secure coding standards, and Agile delivery.
- Experience developing interactive frontend user interfaces with React or Angular is highly valued.
- Experience with Kafka or another messaging system is highly valued.
- Experience with client-server applications and any flavor of Java is highly valued.
- Banking or finance domain experience and experience with AI/LLM models are preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, risk and controls, and strategic thinking skills.
