Responsibilities
- Lead application systems and programming activities for a digital usage analytics platform.
- Own technical design and clarify requirements with business analysts.
- Develop and enhance Java and Spring Boot applications, REST APIs, microservices, and data-engineering solutions.
- Build ETL processes, data models, and integrations using SQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
- Design and support cloud and containerized deployments using Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS, and Docker.
- Establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, implementation, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Resolve complex, high-impact projects and drive production issues through closure.
- Partner with management and technology teams to integrate functions and deliver products and process improvements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess technology and business risks while maintaining compliance and safeguarding company, client, and firm assets.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall experience, including prior delivery and technical design experience.
- Advanced Java and Spring Boot experience with REST APIs, microservices, and performance tuning.
- Data-engineering experience with SQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL, ETL development, and data modeling.
- Kafka experience, including producers, consumers, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS, Docker, Git, Jenkins, and Autosys.
- Leadership experience owning technical design, clarifying requirements, mentoring developers, and resolving production issues.
- Preferred experience with big data, Databricks, React, analytics platforms, ClickHouse, Druid, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Grafana, or AppDynamics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, a university degree, or equivalent experience.
