Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend microservices using Java and the Spring Framework.
- Shape backend architecture, participate in software programming initiatives, mentor team members, and conduct code reviews.
- Develop and direct software validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon.
- Prototype and deploy solutions within cloud-based platforms using platform services.
- Analyze proof-of-concept, performance, and end-to-end testing results and coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed software.
- Support the software development lifecycle while coordinating with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters on user story alignment and implementation.
- Document and perform software development activities and deploy build artifacts across environments using GitHub, Jenkins, Python, Bash, and GitFlow constructs.
- Apply software development best practices and create solutions addressing customer technical and mission needs.
Requirements
- In-depth experience with Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and software development practices.
- In-depth experience with Java, the Spring Framework, microservices architecture, design patterns, RESTful APIs, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- In-depth experience integrating with and delivering within DevOps toolsets and practices.
- Experience using software testing and performance tools such as JUnit, plus Python and Bash scripting, in an Agile environment.
- In-depth experience developing in commercial cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and using cloud data services such as S3, RDS, and EFS.
- In-depth experience with version control and issue or problem tracking systems.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 or more years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
- Preferred experience includes Elasticsearch, Postgres, DynamoDB, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and SAFe development practices.
