Base Salary
$119k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-quality APIs and services for experimentation and recommendation systems.
- Collaborate with AI tools as a primary workflow for coding and testing.
- Define and codify AI-native engineering practices and establish playbooks.
- Build across the backend stack to deliver reliable experiences to users.
- Work closely with product managers and data teams to solve complex user problems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
- Mentor team members and evolve AI-native engineering practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or similar distributed streaming platforms.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts.
- Comfortable with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLMs.
- Growth mindset and collaborative approach.
- Ownership mentality and thoughtful communication skills.
