Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex infrastructure initiatives end-to-end.
- Break initiatives down into executable work and document technical decisions.
- Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable systems in AWS.
- Plan and drive technical improvements using data and success metrics.
- Build and own self-service tooling and automation frameworks.
- Unblock teams through code and design reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as a first responder during on-call rotations and lead incident mitigation.
- Drive team-wide quality objectives for the Infrastructure platform.
- Act as a role model by sharing feedback and supporting hiring activities.
- Partner with platform teams to align on shared standards and tooling.
Requirements
- Proven track record of owning complex technical initiatives end-to-end.
- Deep expertise in operating Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
- Strong experience with AWS, including networking and cost management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably with Terraform.
- Solid software engineering skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Broader knowledge of supportive technologies like Kafka and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including incident response and capacity planning.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to hiring processes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
