Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve observability platform software for workflow insights, distributed tracing, and RUM applications.
- Develop and integrate agentic solutions for operational intelligence.
- Solve complex scalability, availability, and resilience challenges across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Act as a technical contributor and observability subject matter expert covering traces, logs, and metrics.
- Gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and support project and test plans for platform features.
- Use data to inform product and technical decisions and help shape platform direction.
- Mentor engineers, lead collaborative technical workshops, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Architect and deliver scalable and resilient observability systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing high-scale distributed systems and/or AI applications.
- Strong experience with observability domains including traces, logs, and metrics, as well as related high-scale systems.
- Experience with LLMs and/or generative AI applied to operational intelligence.
- Experience with at least three of Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, workflow automation, CI/CD platform development, cloud platform development, and Kubernetes/container-based development.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker container-based development, packaging, and deployments.
- Experience with data-intensive applications and Kafka, Kinesis, Amazon S3, and SQS for scalable time-series and tracing data systems.
- Experience developing highly scalable and available web applications and services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
