Responsibilities
- Build secure, scalable, resilient cloud-based microservices and enterprise digital applications.
- Design and implement Java RESTful API clients and services and asynchronous messaging between services.
- Develop enterprise-level digital architecture strategies and provide technical solutions and estimates for digital technology initiatives.
- Write and execute unit and integration tests and oversee software testing, validation, and documentation.
- Package software using containers and prepare services for deployment on Amazon Web Services.
- Build reliable systems that withstand unreliable environments and align with long-term company strategy.
- Analyze system requirements and recommend new installations or modifications to existing systems.
- Collaborate with cloud, architecture, product, data process, and project teams.
- Advise senior management on technical strategy, develop creative solutions, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of related experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of related experience.
- Experience developing scalable and resilient backend solutions for RESTful microservices or asynchronous mechanisms using SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka, and Spring Boot.
- Expertise designing Java RESTful web services using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE frameworks, and JMS or Apache Kafka.
- Experience delivering solutions on AWS and incorporating Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Spring integration testing, Sonar, and SonarQube.
- Experience building enterprise-standard Java applications using AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience writing and optimizing queries and operating relational and non-relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL using Liquibase.
- Foreign education equivalents are accepted.
