Responsibilities
- Build a simple, intuitive insurance-purchasing experience across devices and platforms.
- Create customer-facing capabilities for documenting damage and improving the claims process.
- Design rating engines that calculate insurance policy costs.
- Combine property-intelligence API sources to identify flood, fire, and vandalism risks.
- Deploy production code quickly and iteratively build solutions with the team.
- Help shape product decisions and the core engineering stack.
Requirements
- Experience building web applications and service-oriented architecture.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex codebase with limited ramp-up time.
- Product-minded engineering approach with thoughtful opinions about user experience.
- Pragmatic approach that balances speed, quality, impact, and delivery.
- Willingness and ability to learn new languages and frameworks quickly.
- Prior experience as a team lead is a plus.
