Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for a logistics orchestration and decision-intelligence platform.
- Own end-to-end partner data flows, including multi-vendor ingestion, normalization, warehousing, observability, and on-call support.
- Build and maintain production data pipelines for IoT sensor data, partner APIs, webhooks, queues, and carrier integrations.
- Develop predictive systems for on-time, in-full performance and automate exception-handling workflows.
- Operate independently and collaborate with leadership to deliver high-leverage features in a growth-stage environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building production data pipelines and 5+ years of backend engineering experience with scalable distributed systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python and TypeScript/Node.js; strong Java experience is a plus.
- Production experience with multi-vendor data ingestion, configuration-driven transformations, partner APIs, and IoT or regulated healthcare data.
- Strong SQL skills and relational data-modeling experience; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a bonus.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong API design skills across REST and/or gRPC.
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
- Primary experience with external partner-facing operational data integrations rather than internal platform, DevOps-only, or general full-stack work.
- Domain knowledge in logistics, cold chain, supply chain, or IoT is a meaningful plus.
- Interest in working at a small, fast-moving Series A company alongside a structured engineering background.
Benefits
- Base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 USD annually, plus equity and a cash bonus.
