Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications and supporting backend services.
- Build user interfaces with JavaScript frameworks and component-based architectures.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot backend services supporting single-page applications and external integrations.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs, service interfaces, microservices, and integrations between frontend and backend systems.
- Write efficient, testable code and participate in code reviews, PR reviews, shared frameworks, reusable components, and development standards.
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, scalability, accessibility, functional, and non-functional requirements, including WCAG compliance.
- Contribute throughout the development lifecycle from design through build, testing, release, and ongoing application support.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, Architects, developers, UX/UI designers, and Product or Project Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support unit testing, end-to-end testing, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, release preparation, and issue diagnosis.
- Work with cloud-based and containerized deployment environments and provide guidance or mentoring to junior developers as required.
Requirements
- University or college education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React.
- Experience with responsive UI design using SASS, LESS, modern CSS layout techniques such as CSS Grid, cross-browser compatibility, client-side debugging, and accessible WCAG-compliant applications.
- Proven experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices, RESTful APIs, modular architectures, and service-based architectures.
- Experience with AWS-based cloud deployments, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, Docker, Kafka, and Swagger.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB and familiarity with other NoSQL and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, or GitLab.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in evolving environments.
- Experience contributing to shared platforms, frameworks, or component libraries and mentoring junior developers is desirable.
- Knowledge of Appian or Ingenium and exposure to large-scale enterprise digital platforms and multi-team delivery models are desirable.
