Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using Python, Node.js, and/or Go on Kubernetes within established architectural patterns.
- Contribute to Generative AI workflows.
- Contribute to data pipelines supporting AI/ML workflows.
- Build and consume REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs for secure, scalable services.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on design decisions under general guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and cross-functional project work under senior engineer or team lead direction.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Python experience is required; familiarity with TypeScript and/or Java is expected.
- Experience building microservices on Kubernetes.
- Understanding of database design with SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
- Working knowledge of ML/AI concepts and workflows; strong backend engineers earlier in their ML journey are encouraged to apply.
- Understanding of backend security fundamentals, including API security and authentication/authorization basics.
- Comfort working in an Agile environment.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS is nice to have.
- Data streaming experience with Kafka and Spark is nice to have.
- Exposure to LLM or agentic AI tooling is nice to have.
- Cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP domain experience is nice to have but not required.
