Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data connector and ingestion services for industrial data protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, Kafka, ODBC, and Modbus.
- Implement data contextualization, automated workflows, platform governance, access controls, compliance policies, and shared platform-level policies.
- Integrate AI-powered functionality such as AI function calls, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and generative AI.
- Ensure scalability, uptime, performance, fault tolerance, observability, logging, metrics, lineage, and alerting for high-volume industrial data.
- Document and version customer-facing APIs and schemas.
- Mentor junior developers, influence architectural decisions, and refine strategic requirements into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate across support, development, security, and product teams while participating in Agile ceremonies.
- Recommend cloud-native and Software-as-a-Service technology adoption strategies aligned with business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12–15 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with less experience.
- Detailed understanding and working experience with cloud-native technologies, services, and architecture.
- Detailed knowledge of IoT or edge devices, including their strengths, weaknesses, constraints, and risks.
- Experience with several listed databases, programming languages, JavaScript frameworks, CI tools, Azure cloud technologies, operating systems, observability tools, testing frameworks, identity and access management, data platforms, and integrations.
- Experience with Agile development frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum.
- Strong object-oriented design, debugging, communication, personal project management, self-direction, and collaboration skills.
- Potential and willingness to take on technical leadership opportunities and contribute creative, well-crafted solutions.
