Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver resilient, scalable systems for music supply chain applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain data streams and integrations between music metadata systems and upstream and downstream applications.
- Own and lead multi-component development projects spanning multiple teams.
- Set architectural direction and ensure solution scalability, maintainability, and alignment with organizational standards.
- Develop and review complex solutions, fix critical bugs, and drive technical excellence.
- Mentor senior engineers and facilitate collaboration across engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Drive innovation, technical strategy, stakeholder alignment, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in Java and JVM-based languages, with extensive experience in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration, and related Spring frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, continuous integration, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and publish/subscribe systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
- Expertise in relational databases, SQL, schema design, stored procedures, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with API design and integration, including RESTful and event-based interfaces.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and authentication and authorization patterns.
- Experience with AWS services including S3, RDS, VPC, and messaging or streaming services.
- Familiarity with distributed caching, enterprise and data integration, application monitoring, and observability practices.
- Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving skills, with experience in Agile environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure management, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or serverless computing is preferred.
