Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and maintain algorithms and applications that integrate reliably with related systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to create visualizations and reports that support application and system improvements.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React or React Native, AWS, ECS, DynamoDB, Postgres, Kafka, Terraform, and EaC.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and strong understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
