Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and support high-quality web applications, APIs, workflows, and large-scale systems.
- Lead technical design, implementation, coding standards, code reviews, estimation, planning, and risk mitigation for the squad.
- Develop and integrate AI agents, conversational interfaces, chatbots, and intelligent automation solutions.
- Lead AI-assisted development practices using GitHub Copilot and other AI coding tools, and train teams in AI pair programming.
- Identify, prioritize, remediate, and review application security vulnerabilities using secure coding practices and SAST/DAST tools.
- Coach, mentor, and provide technical direction to developers while removing technical blockers.
- Drive testing, quality standards, technical debt reduction, system performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Agile teams, stakeholders, and other Tech Leads on feasibility, dependencies, timelines, and delivery.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide on-call and incident-response support when required.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive information technology experience covering the full application development lifecycle and systems integration.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teams of developers.
- Expert-level Java and Spring Boot knowledge, with strong microservices and API development experience.
- Proven experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools and training teams on AI pair programming.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents using agent orchestration platforms.
- Working knowledge of Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and AI API integration.
- Experience building conversational interfaces, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Application security experience covering OWASP Top 10, SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, authentication and authorization flaws, secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, and security testing.
- Hands-on experience with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, and Veracode.
- Advanced front-end development experience, particularly with React and Web Accessibility.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, SOAP/XML, REST/JSON, JavaScript, JQuery, and web/server technologies.
- Experience with unit testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and RESTAssured, and DevOps tools including BitBucket, CDD, and Jenkins.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability and desire to lead.
