Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and infrastructure.
- Own service architecture, product API development, and data modeling for the Monetization team.
- Measure product and system performance, analyze metrics, and use A/B testing to inform product changes.
- Set up API and service monitoring and testing to evaluate real-time health and performance.
- Propose technical approaches, influence roadmap decisions, and collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders on requirements and tradeoffs.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience designing highly scalable and performant microservices and storage layers using technologies such as Java, Play, Scala, MySQL, Cassandra, Solr, or Kafka.
- Experience working in fast-moving environments with frequent deployments.
- Background using data and metrics to inform technical and product decisions.
- Demonstrated experience building and launching products, including API design, system architecture, and data architecture.
