Base Salary

$105k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test plans and test cases.
  • Develop, enhance, and extend test automation frameworks using Java and industry best practices.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, API, performance, load, scalability, and high-volume data testing.
  • Define test strategies, analyze requirements for testability, assess risks, and prepare master and detailed test plans.
  • Analyze and communicate test results, track defects, and recommend improvements to testing processes.
  • Plan and maintain test environments and test data, including configuration management activities.
  • Support software releases, regression testing, Ovations system issue resolution, user support, and scheduled activities.
  • Partner with developers, product owners, and platform engineers to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the long-term quality automation strategy and maintain relationships with colleagues and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–7 years of experience working with manual and automation technologies, with strong knowledge of testing practices, processes, and terminology.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining test cases with industry-standard tools and automation frameworks for complex multi-system scenarios.
  • Experience with at least two of web or mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, transaction processing systems, distributed and parallel systems, large software systems, security software, or public-cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience developing test plans, automating test cases, and working with test frameworks.
  • Proficiency with a test management tool and test automation tools, plus Java-based software development and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, APIs, and high-volume data testing.
  • Streaming and event-driven systems experience is preferred.
  • Experience with message queuing and event-sourcing tools such as IBM MQ or Kafka is preferred.
  • Financial services, derivatives clearing, risk, and data warehousing testing experience is preferred.
  • Clearing and risk systems expertise, including integrations and Core Connectors, is preferred.
