Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and evangelize engineering best practices.
- Understand the digital media supply chain and its upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Contribute to and review code, set standards, and ensure product and design specifications are met.
- Own fundamental platform performance, scalability, and resiliency concerns.
- Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and propose solutions spanning multiple teams.
- Support cross-functional troubleshooting of complex issues.
- Design, architect, and deliver scalable, secure, performant, and usable web applications.
- Develop and test new application features using full-stack technologies.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant industry experience; the posting also describes an ideal candidate with 7 or more years of web application design and architecture experience.
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent.
- Expertise designing APIs, building RESTful services, and performing full-stack development.
- Mastery of Node.js and experience with React and multiple open-source technologies.
- Experience designing high-volume, cached, fault-tolerant, multithreaded, scalable systems and understanding asynchronous programming models.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies, application development lifecycles, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, build, and deployment practices.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Jenkins, databases, data streaming, orchestration, and containerization technologies.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, explain complex ideas, influence others, collaborate with engineers of varying experience, and demonstrate strong communication and attention to detail.
- Preferred experience includes media distribution, working with vendor teams, performance testing, and application profiling.
