Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy and lead architecture across cloud, data, and AI/ML systems for end-to-end engagements.
- Architect scalable cloud-native, multi-cloud, and hybrid solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes.
- Design data warehouses, data lakes, batch and streaming pipelines, and production AI/ML systems including model serving, MLOps, feature stores, and LLM applications.
- Define infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps standards across engagements.
- Lead cloud migrations and platform modernization while optimizing performance, scalability, cost, and reliability.
- Ensure architectures satisfy security, governance, compliance, and responsible-technology requirements.
- Partner with clients, leadership, engineering, data, AI, and product teams to translate business goals into technical decisions.
- Document architecture standards and guidelines, evaluate emerging technologies, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex architectural and integration challenges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with microservices, serverless systems, containers, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong data architecture experience across relational, NoSQL, and big data systems, with hands-on data modeling, ETL/ELT, and orchestration experience.
- Production experience designing AI/ML systems, including LLMs, MLOps, model serving, and tools such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, MLflow, Hugging Face, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, access management, governance, compliance, and observability.
- Strong software engineering skills, including Python and containerization.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and architecture documentation skills.
- Demonstrable use of AI-forward tools such as Claude and Cursor.
- Multi-cloud architecture, AI ethics or responsible AI experience, and enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF or AWS/Azure/GCP certifications are preferred.

- Compensation range of CAD $53–$74 per hour.
