Base Salary
$183k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale backend systems and onboard modules for the Routing team.
- Design microservices and optimize routing algorithms, road-network graph processing, and scalable traffic management.
- Build monitoring and analytics infrastructure and optimize the deployment pipeline.
- Collaborate with product, strategy, operations, design, PMs, UX researchers, and engineers on product requirements, designs, user experiences, strategy, and roadmap.
- Develop tooling that helps engineers troubleshoot, debug, and profile applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling realtime server-side applications.
- Experience solving large-scale complex algorithm problems while balancing correctness and performance.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience selecting and using relational, non-relational, and data warehouse technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigTable, Cassandra, Redis, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
- Experience with RPC frameworks and pubsub systems such as gRPC, Thrift, Kafka, Cloud PubSub, and Celery.
- Experience training and inferencing ML models.
- Extensive experience with cloud providers such as GCP and AWS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or willingness to learn them.
- Bonus: experience with routing algorithms, map data, graph data structures, robotics, or ETA modeling.
