Base Salary
$94k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, well-tested code for complex software scenarios.
- Translate product requirements into robust designs for distributed application systems.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead sprint teams in delivering new or improved features and resolving impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver intended functionality.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with technologies used at Mercury.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL, caching, APIs, REST, gRPC, message queuing, data streaming, workflow and integration frameworks, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and scalable application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include extensive experience with Mercury technologies, a master’s degree in Computer Science, and experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
