Base Salary
$171k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications using the company technology stack.
- Build scalable distributed storage platforms, high-performance data pipelines, and software components for integrated systems.
- Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects and recommend solutions to technical issues.
- Support business operations and improve engineering productivity.
- Resolve production issues affecting product and system reliability.
- Develop and operate high-load, large-scale distributed systems and build monitoring systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience with C++, C, Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with SQL or MySQL, data structures and algorithms, debugging, and production-service monitoring.
- Experience developing or operating high-load, large-scale distributed systems and building monitoring systems.
- Experience with big data infrastructure tools such as Spark, HDFS, and Yarn.
- Experience with real-time streaming technologies such as Apache Flink or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud services such as OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Benefits
- Annual base pay of $171,000 to $209,000.
- Eligibility to participate in Uber’s bonus program and potentially receive other types of compensation.
