Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on Snowflake Cloud Data Platform architecture for strategic prospects, customers, and partners.
- Work with sales teams to navigate sales cycles and support opportunities through demos, proofs of concept, design, and implementation.
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to technical contributors and business executives.
- Discover customer architecture frameworks and connect business problems with Snowflake data architecture solutions.
- Develop and demonstrate reference architectures across data ingestion, transformation, and lakehouse workloads.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of architecture and data engineering experience in the enterprise data space.
- 5+ years of experience in a presales role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
- Fluency or native proficiency in German.
- Strong presentation, discovery, architectural, and executive communication skills.
- Hands-on development experience with SQL, Python, Pandas, Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, and other big data technologies.
- Experience with data integration and ETL/ELT tools including Apache NiFi, Matillion, Fivetran, Qlik, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with streaming technologies including Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, and Kinesis.
- Experience designing interoperable data lakehouse architectures using Iceberg, Delta, and Parquet.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
