Responsibilities
- Develop CMS application components using Java and Spring, including new features, fixes, and improvements.
- Design, develop, and deploy web applications, APIs, event-driven systems, and asynchronous messaging solutions.
- Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, monitoring, alerting, and robustness, including CI and CD practices.
- Maintain and support AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes deployments, PostgreSQL databases, and Kafka.
- Write well-tested code, including non-functional testing and edge-case coverage.
- Diagnose and resolve codebase issues using debugging tools and techniques.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team learning and continuous improvement.
- Review peer code for adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Strong Java and Spring knowledge and experience.
- Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins.
- Experience designing software solutions and deploying web applications, APIs, or event-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging using Kafka.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and non-functional requirements.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and scripting languages such as Bash.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-team environments, with analytical, creative, detail-oriented, and continuous-learning capabilities.
