Responsibilities
- Write clean, readable code with sensible design for modules containing multiple functions.
- Produce testable code with a strong understanding of boundary and negative test cases.
- Create readable documentation for external API endpoints and structures.
- Take ownership of simple projects independently.
- Contribute value to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and retrospectives.
- Deliver systems and features that provide significant value to customers and/or other teams.
- Raise issues that could impact delivery or timelines without fear of blame.
- Provide detailed code reviews and help document idioms and best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and sales teams.
Requirements
- B.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years experience developing in Java.
- Proven track record of delivering end to end solutions from scratch.
- Enjoy building production grade code and supporting it post-launch.
- Knowledge of web service technologies and building REST APIs.
- Experience with Core Java & Java Frameworks: Spring Framework / J2EE / Reactor.
- Familiarity with HTML / CSS3 & JavaScript / TypeScript; knowledge of ReactJs / Redux / AngularJS is a plus.
- Experience with Node.Js & Node.JS Frameworks: Express / HappiJS.
- Understanding of MySQL / MongoDB and MySQL procedures.
- Knowledge of Data Structures / Algorithms.
- Experience with Unit Testing using JUnit.
- Working knowledge of Containers: Docker / Rkt.
- Working knowledge of Orchestration: Kubernetes / Mesos / OpenShift.
- Working knowledge of Messaging: RabbitMQ / Kafka.
