Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Own concurrency, memory management, JVM performance tuning, and scalability for enterprise systems.
- Architect, implement, and operate event-driven systems using MQs and Kafka.
- Plan and execute load and stress testing, identify bottlenecks, and tune database and application configurations.
- Apply TDD, BDD, clean code, code reviews, and other engineering best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers in distributed systems.
- Collaborate with architecture, platform, product, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Define technical direction, influence stakeholders, and promote sustainable solutions aligned with the Bank’s strategic direction.
Requirements
- 12–14+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot or similar technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java 21, including concurrency, memory management, and performance tuning.
- Deep experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, design patterns, and engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data models, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience with at least one public cloud platform such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with distributed, multicultural teams and strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of event processing and Big Data technologies such as Kafka, BigQuery, or Apache Beam, or strong willingness to learn them.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and culture and experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong advocacy for TDD, BDD, clean code, and engineering best practices.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and solve business problems while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
