Responsibilities

  • Develop customized code, integrate software, perform analysis, and configure project-specific solutions.
  • Lead and participate in development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex applications.
  • Build monitoring capabilities, provide escalated production support, and maintain security controls.
  • Partner with product owners during design to understand goals and recommend solutions.
  • Lead moderately complex projects, contribute to larger initiatives, solve complex problems, and support less-experienced teammates.
  • Write unit and integration tests and support release testing.
  • May oversee the work of a small team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
  • In-depth knowledge of information systems and the ability to apply IT best practices.
  • Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, software design, analysis, and debugging.
  • Professional experience building and scaling enterprise applications or services.
  • Proficiency with Java SE and Java EE, API development concepts, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
  • Experience with messaging technologies or asynchronous communication patterns such as MQ or Kafka.
  • Experience building cloud-native applications on a cloud platform, preferably AWS, and familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS ECS/EKS.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and development, SQL, stored procedures, data modeling, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
  • Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and comprehensive unit and integration testing.
  • Master’s degree and ten or more years of experience, banking or financial services experience, and knowledge of relevant applications, platforms, programming languages, or business segments are preferred.
