Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and operation of Collibra’s multi-cloud platform infrastructure using Kubernetes and infrastructure automation.
- Develop and operate shared data platform services, including Golang operators, Kafka, Neo4j, and related infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex service issues, implement security best practices, and maintain technical documentation.
- Partner with product engineering, security, and SRE teams to promote secure, compliant, and resilient platform architectures across AWS and GCP.
- Identify and implement improvements in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and operational reliability.
- Deliver infrastructure improvements and refactor existing automation to reduce complexity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or software engineering with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing, building, and managing production services using Kubernetes and IaC across tens to hundreds of Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience managing production workloads and infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters and containerized production services.
- Experience writing and maintaining infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform.
- Proficiency in Golang for controller and automation development.
- Preferred qualifications include CKA or CKAD certification, Istio, ArgoCD, networking, Linux, Kubernetes, monitoring and logging tools, observability spans and traces, and Golang controller development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges or streamline workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, communication, initiative, automation, reliability, and independent execution skills.
