Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, debug, and operate reliable software features in Java, Vue, and other relevant technologies.
- Develop and maintain APIs, messaging, integrations, and information systems with clear ownership of failure modes and production behavior.
- Extend and improve existing long-lived codebases and services rather than focusing only on greenfield development.
- Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and team practice improvements.
- Work with product, quality, technical leads, and peers in agile delivery.
- Support reliable data and integration flows across Kubernetes, on-premises, and mixed environments.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code through testing, review, and operational safety checks.
- Respect data classification and security requirements when using external AI tools.
Requirements
- Professional experience building backend or full-stack software in a commercial or product team.
- Solid software fundamentals covering runtime behavior, relational databases, SQL, debugging, data structures, and complexity awareness.
- Understanding of information systems concepts including sources of truth, concurrent updates, partial integration failure, and idempotency.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code and contribute meaningfully to code reviews.
- Willingness to learn Spring and Vue conventions, Kafka, internal platforms, new frameworks, and approved AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to take ownership, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in English.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience with Java and Spring, Vue, Kafka or similar asynchronous integration, full-stack API and UI delivery, and modernization of large long-lived codebases.
- Preferred qualifications also include demonstrated AI-assisted development where outcomes were verified through tests, review, and operational safety practices.
