Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug cloud-hosted platform software using Java.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, secure cloud-native applications and SaaS products.
- Contribute to architecture, API design, technical solutions, and product direction.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and thorough testing to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Apply emerging cloud technologies and best practices to improve performance and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience using Java to build enterprise customer-facing products and services.
- Experience designing and implementing SaaS applications.
- Experience with at least one public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Required experience with microservices architecture, analytics, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with RDBMS technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Experience with TDD, code testability standards, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with Git and platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket, as well as Jenkins and Maven.
- Experience working in Linux, OS X, or Unix environments.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
