Responsibilities

  • Package, deploy, and maintain complex applications on Azure Kubernetes Service and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service.
  • Design and oversee Kubernetes cluster architecture, namespace topology, ingress controllers, service meshes, and stateful and stateless workloads.
  • Implement workload autoscaling using application and infrastructure metrics, including KEDA-based event-driven autoscaling.
  • Apply container security and hardening practices, including base image hardening, network policies, RBAC, node isolation, and continuous security scanning.
  • Integrate Kubernetes clusters with Azure and AWS identity, storage, secrets, networking, and key-management services.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of overall IT experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise production workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Deep operational expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service as the primary platform and Amazon EKS as a secondary platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, including control plane components, ETCD, Kubelet, CNI plug-ins, CSI drivers, and networking primitives.
  • Proficiency writing modular Helm charts and managing multi-environment releases with Helmfile.
  • Direct experience configuring KEDA scaled objects, scalers, and custom metrics using Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Kafka, queues, and related sources.
  • Deep understanding of container security, image hardening, vulnerability scanning, Pod Security Standards, admission controllers, secrets management, RBAC, and node-level isolation.
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS and Azure services, including networking, identity and IAM, load balancers, key vaults, and KMS.
