Base Salary
$168k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the vision, strategy, and development of a scalable, efficient, multi-platform advertising reporting system.
- Build and maintain fault-tolerant metrics delivery systems and data pipelines supporting reporting, billing, attribution, spam detection, and partner management.
- Advocate for data quality, correctness, scalability, and latency standards across the organization.
- Code and document components, write and review system design documents, and help establish engineering best practices.
- Partner with product designers, product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other teams to understand customer requirements.
- Spearhead initiatives and plan short- and long-term platform and product improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven industry experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems and experience with DBT, Airflow, and web frameworks such as Rails.
- Advanced SQL skills, including writing and reviewing complex queries for analysis and debugging.
- Experience designing systems for scale, with strong analytical, debugging, ownership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at manager, director, and VP levels.
- Preferred experience in digital advertising.
- Preferred experience with Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Hive, or Kafka and with streaming and batch data pipelines.
- Preferred experience with distributed system design and strong programming and algorithm skills.
