Base Salary
$104k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate, test, debug, and document software for mission execution, system control, data processing, and long-term sustainment of a ground-based radar system.
- Build and support Java services and microservices using Spring Boot in containerized Kubernetes environments.
- Diagnose and resolve defects, performance issues, and operational problems using logs, metrics, debugging tools, and user reports.
- Collaborate with the technical team and apply software and systems engineering processes to mission-critical distributed systems.
Requirements
- Experience developing software in Java and building services or microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, Bash or other scripting languages, Git, GitLab, Linux, RESTful APIs, JSON, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, Java and Linux debugging, Kubernetes troubleshooting, performance diagnosis, and systematic defect resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, written communication, verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
- An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance that is current and within scope at the time of application.
- Preferred qualifications include distributed systems, microservice architectures, Kafka or RabbitMQ, API gateways, service discovery, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or EFK, Java profiling, secure coding, mixed-language systems, and real-time or defense-related applications.
