Responsibilities
- Define and own the target-state architecture, north-star architecture, transition states, roadmap, and measurable delivery outcomes for Trade Innovation.
- Lead architecture reviews, governance forums, architectural decision records, reference patterns, and non-functional requirement validation.
- Drive legacy modernization from monolithic and proprietary components to modular, service-oriented, cloud-ready, and containerized platforms.
- Set direction for APIs, event-driven architecture, integration patterns, domain decomposition, extensibility, data, workflows, and migration sequencing.
- Guide use of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, microservices, Kubernetes, service mesh, API gateways, message brokers, distributed caching, and modern data persistence patterns.
- Establish secure-by-default architecture using identity, access control, encryption, tenant isolation, secrets management, secure coding, and software supply-chain controls.
- Define performance, scalability, availability, reliability, auditability, observability, cost, recovery, and operational requirements for critical domains.
- Champion responsible AI and agentic tooling for architecture discovery, code understanding, testing, migration, documentation, developer productivity, and product capabilities.
- Lead, coach, and develop solution architects, application architects, and senior engineers while building architecture guild practices and decision forums.
- Design and develop architecture artifacts and code, participate in software design meetings, resolve application issues, and support product releases and customer-facing programs.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of design and architecture experience.
- Application modernization experience with modern technology stacks and strong experience leading enterprise product-platform architecture.
- Deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, C#, JavaScript, Angular, and Azure PaaS is preferred.
- Expertise with RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, SQL, and related technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience leading architecture for enterprise SaaS, hybrid, containerized, or regulated financial-services platforms is preferred.
- Experience with trade finance, corporate banking, lending, payment rails, customer implementation models, or enterprise product extensibility is highly desirable.
- Relevant architecture, cloud, security, or AI certifications are useful but secondary to demonstrated architecture leadership and modernization impact.
- Strong technical, analytical, development, communication, customer service, independent-working, teamwork, and multi-project management skills.
