Base Salary

$166k - $258k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across Retail Hub and NVMS.
  • Extend shared platform capabilities such as task management, notifications, and user management.
  • Design and implement event-driven workflows that reliably trigger, track, and update tasks across services and teams.
  • Build vendor data management capabilities for suppliers and internal vendor management teams.
  • Design APIs and data contracts with clear ownership and backward compatibility across onboarded applications.
  • Apply AI tools and techniques to improve product functionality, data reconciliation, development workflows, and supplier experiences.
  • Own systems and designs spanning multiple engineers and break work into tasks for junior team members.
  • Drive design reviews, code reviews, quality practices, testing, scalability, maintainability, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native production services.
  • Partner with product, design, engineering, and vendor-facing teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or technology roles.
  • At least 2 years of full-stack development experience building user-facing applications and backend services.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex distributed systems in production.
  • Strong proficiency with a modern frontend framework such as React and with Java and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience designing event-driven services that publish, consume, and reliably react to events at scale.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs and shared data contracts across teams or applications.
  • Experience operating production services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including examples such as Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and SQS/SNS.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and technologies and a practical perspective on their value in product development.
  • Experience with or strong interest in vendor-facing platforms, marketplace data, or merchandising systems.
  • Track record of driving code quality, testing, and engineering best practices across a team.
  • Preferred experience includes vendor management, supplier onboarding, merchandising data systems, agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph or AWS Bedrock Agents, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, Terraform or AWS CDK, CI/CD pipeline design, open-source contributions, or technical publishing.
